Normedia DVD Gastro Version 4.2

Endoscopic Diagnosis in Gastroenterology and N.O.T.E.S.

The correct description and classification of findings is not only indispensable in digestive endoscopy, but is also an essential foundation for interpretation and diagnosis in all areas of medicine. This was the primary motivation for the development of a specifically descriptive and worldwide standardized endoscopic terminology. The book "Terminology and Definitions in Digestive Endoscopy" was published in 13 languages.

Terminology and Multimedia Database. This terminology forms the basis for the Normedia DVD Gastro DVD-ROM which is a multimedia database in the field of gastroenterologic endoscopy: it combines the text with more than 1000 pictures and video sequences of endoscopic findings and procedures complemented by schematic drawings.

An international team of experts under the leadership of the editors Z. Maratka, M.D., Prof. em. of the Charles University Prague, Czech Republic, and J. R. Armengol-MirĂ³, M.D., Professor of the University of Barcelona, Spain, contributed to this publication.

N.O.T.E.S. DVD Gastro now features the addition of N.O.T.E.S. that brings together endoscopy and visceral surgery. Following a comprehensive introduction to N.O.T.E.S., it presents videos of intraluminal opening, closure, instruments, and therapeutic techniques, including gastropexy (narrated in English and Spanish)
